dc.description Research Brief en_US
dc.description.abstract This is research summary is based on the February 7, 2019 NAPSA webinar, GAS: A Client-Centered Tool to Generate Intervention Plans and Measure Case Resolution in APS. GAS stands for Goal Attainment Scaling. This document discusses a measurement strategy developed to enhance practitioner-client interactions and design an intervention plan for elder abuse. The researchers collaborated with Maine's Adult Protective Services (APS) to test the implementation and feasibility of GAS for reaching goals like "accessing benefits/services, placement in an alternative setting, minimizing perpetrator's access to financial resources, and accessing health care." The research concludes that GAS is a feasible framework for organize and measure progress of existing APS practice.
