Abstract:
The Center for Victim Research (CVR) produces research syntheses which summarize the prevalence, consequences, promising practices, and areas to grow knowledge and services for specific types of victimization and victim services. This document describes CVR's methods and standards for finding, including, evaluating, and summarizing the key points from research- and practice-based materials on victimization. CVR's methodology for the research syntheses are adapted from the Centers for Disease Control’s Evidence Project’s framework: best available research, practice knowledge, and context for both research-based and practice-based knowledge.
